Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem received the newly-appointed Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Tanizaki Yasuaki, in Hanoi on October 26.
At the reception, Deputy PM Khiem affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to its comprehensive and long-term strategic cooperation with Japan.

He said that the Vietnamese government and people are joining efforts with Japan to raise their strategic partnership to a new level of development.

He also expressed his belief that Ambassador Tanizaki Yasuaki will actively contribute to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries during his term of office.

For his part, the Japanese ambassador promised to do his utmost to boost the Vietnam-Japan cooperation in all aspects, including politics, economics, trade, security and defence.
