Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem met with Hong Kong-based Sun Wah Group President, Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, in Hanoi on May 7.

The Deputy PM told the group's President that they would be eligible for investment incentives in their bid to broaden their business operations in Vietnam, which initially began in the country in 1970.

The Sun Wah leader said they are looking for opportunities in real estate, infrastructure construction, hi-technology, agriculture and eco-tourism in Vietnam,

As part of their fact finding mission, Sun Wah executives toured Hanoi, the northern province of Vinh Phuc, the central city of Hue and Ho Chi Minh City apart from working with officials from the Ministries of Planning and Investment and Finance and the Hi-tech Lang-Hoa Lac Park.

The Sun Wah group is currently the owner of the Sunwah Tower in Ho Chi Minh City, and the developer of the US$400 million Saigon Pearl residential-commercial complex. It is also a key shareholder in the VinaCapital Investment Fund.
