Mr Trong, who is also Head of the Northwestern Steering Committee, highlighted the province’s achievements recorded in recent times and asked local party members, especially in the two districts of Mu Cang Chai and Tram Tau to engage in reducing poverty sustainably. He also urged them to pay more attention to training human resources by improving their leadership role and fulfilling the targets set by the Party Congress.

The Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Hoang Thuong Luong reported that last year, the province maintained a high economic growth of 13.3 percent with average annual income per capita of VND10.75 million and finalized a zoning plan for reforestation including rubber and other trees on 14,600 hectares.

To welcome the Lunar New Year festival, the province has presented more than 10,000 gifts worth VND1.792 billion to families of social policy.
