On June 21, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thi Nhan met with voters in Hiep Hoa district in the northern province of Bac Giang.

During the meeting, Mr Nhan informed the outcomes of the seventh session of the 12th National Assembly and answered their questions on issues such as education and training and incentive policies for agricultural production to raise local people’s income.

The voters asked the government to step up its investment in agricultural development to ensure food security, streamline cumbersome procedures on the disbursement of preferential loans to facilitate the building of houses for poor households and deal with pending issues related to health insurance cards and other policies for ex service personnel who fought against the French and US invaders.

The Deputy PM said that the Government has agreed on several proposals made by Bac Giang authorities during their recent meeting with the Prime Minister on various major projects on rural infrastructure, irrigation works and tourism development.
