Speaking at the meeting, Mr Khiem said the outstanding achievements in external relations during the year were attributed to Vietnam’s efforts in maintaining a peaceful and stable environment and creating favorable conditions for the cause of national construction and defense.

Mr Khiem also highlighted the active role played by media agencies in providing information about leaders’ foreign affairs, Party and State guidelines and policies, and the image of a peaceful and dynamic Vietnam with great potential for development.

He hoped that media agencies will continue to make greater contributions to foreign affairs and propaganda activities, thus raising Vietnam’s position and role in the international arena.
