Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong, who is also chairman of the Central Advisory Council for Special Amnesty, said this to leaders of the Ninh Khanh detention camp in Ninh Binh province during a visit on June 19.
He said special amnesty is a great humanitarian policy of leniency of the Party and State for imprisoned persons to encourage them to train, reform and become good citizens. He asked the camp’s leaders to get a good grasp on the policy and correctly select eligible prisoners for parole.
Ninh Khanh camp detains more than 3,000 inmates. Most of them have repented of their sins, performed well and want to enjoy the humanitarian policy of amnesty provided by the State.
The camp has established a special amnesty council to consider cases for parole this year. Camp divisions have publicised the State President’s decision on special amnesty and instructions from the Central Advisory Council for Special Amnesty.
Prisoners have discussed the criteria and voted for 329 eligible candidates set to be freed this year.Bình luận của bạn đang được xem xét
