Vietnam is ready to take part in Libya’s national reconstruction and development process, Minh told Libyan ministers during a visit to the African country from March 4-6.
He met with Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Abdul Aziz, Labour Minister Mustafa Rugibani, and Economy Minister Ahmed Al Kochli.
He congratulated the government and people of Libya on their initial successes in national reconstruction and thanked them for supporting Vietnamese agencies in evacuating more than 10,000 Vietnamese workers during the armed conflict last year.
The Libyan officials affirmed their government’s determination to consolidate the traditional relations with Vietnam established nearly half a century ago, and described Minh’s visit as a guesture of goodwill toward the process of national stability and economic development in Libya.
They expressed their belief that despite numerous difficulties, democratic reform will be successful, with support from the international community, including Vietnam.
