This was said by Deputy Minister of Defense and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh during his meeting with Cambodian Secretary of State under the Defense Ministry Gen Neang Phat on April 24 on the sidelines of the ASEAN Defense Senior Official’s Meeting (ADSOM) in Siem Reap Province.

Vinh also called on both sides to make effective contributions to the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship and Solidarity Year 2012.

Phat said that Cambodia highly valued Vietnam’s support and expressed his hope that Vietnam’s defense ministry will continue providing assistance to the Cambodian ministry, particularly in holding meetings in Cambodia’s ASEAN chairmanship this year.
