On June 3, Minister Thanh visited the submarine rescue ship of the Singaporean Navy and the Information Fusion Centre (IFC).

The centre was set up in April 2009 to collect and share maritime information with the naval force, legal enforcement agencies and companies in order to reduce security risks such as terrorism and piracy.

The IFC, which is run by a group of naval officers of Singapore and many other countries, has connected with the naval forces in 27 countries, including Vietnam. Singapore has earlier asked Vietnam to join the IFC’s management board.
