The Minister of National Defence General Phung Quang Thanh visited the Friendship Village in Hanoi , run by the Vietnam War Veterans Association (VWVA) on January 25 on the threshold of the Lunar New Year festival (Tet).
Thanh presented gifts to children, war veterans and Agent Orange victims to enjoy Tet celebrations.
He also spoke highly of the achievements recorded by the village’s staff and expressed his hope that they would continue to enhance their qualifications and accomplish their work at the Friendship Village .
On the same day, Thanh paid a visit to the VWVA Central Committee.
