Czech Republic- Vietnam parliamentary ties hailed
VOV.VN - President of the Czech Republic-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Petra Quittova has applauded the positive development of parliamentary relations between the two countries in recent times.
At a recent working session with Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam in Prague, President of the Czech Republic-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group Petra Quittova
said that the parliamentary relations between the two nations were demonstrated through all-level delegation exchange and mutual support at multilateral and international forums like the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), and the Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP).
She said will continue contributing to the development of traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two nations.
She used the occasion to inform the Vietnamese diplomat about cultural exchange programmes to be held in Prague, Brno and Karlovy Vary in 2024. She invited the Ambassador and Vietnamese embassy staff to the events.
Ambassador Nam thanked MP Quittova for her sentiments and efforts in fostering relations between the two countries' legislatures as a contribution to strengthening Vietnam - Czech Republic relations towards the 75th anniversary of both nations’ diplomatic ties in 2025.
Nam agreed with Quittova's assessment on the areas that the two countries boast huge potential and room for cooperation such as education, labour, tourism, and culture.
Sharing the host of plans of visits to the Czech Republic by delegations of the Vietnamese National Assembly in the second half of this year, he suggested that the Czech-Vietnamese Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group coordinate to speed up working programmes with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Czech Republic and competent agencies.
