This was confirmed by Cuba’s Consul General Gabriel Perez Tarrau and the President of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association Chapter in HCM City, Hoang Thi Khanh, at a ceremony on April 19 to mark the 49^th anniversary of Cuba’s victory at Giron. 

President Khanh expressed her wish that the Cuban people would continue to exploit their achievements that they have made over more than 5 decades of national construction and defence. 

She said that Cuba is always the embodiment of peace, justice, independence, freedom and socialism in the America and the world as a whole.
