Cuba wants to learn from HCM City experience

(VOV) - Marino Murillo Jorge, Vice President of Cuba’s Council of Ministers, has expressed his admiration for HCM City’s development in various areas and asked the city to share the experiences of its renewal process.

Speaking at an October 12 working session with Vice Secretary of HCM City Party Committee Nguyen Van Dua, Jorge said he was especially interested in the city’s economic models, the equitisation of State-owned enterprises, and the models of single member companies limited and joint stock companies.

For his part, Dua congratulated Cuba on its successful organisation of the sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.

He also briefed his guest on HCM City’s achievements during Vietnam’s Renewal (Doi Moi) process as well as the reforms implemented by the city’s businesses.

On the same day, the Cuban delegation visited some of the city’s businesses and markets.
