On February 9, the politburo member and permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC), Truong Tan Sang, paid a lunar New Year visit to Tap Chi Cong San (Communist Review).

On behalf of the CPVCC Secretariat, Mr Sang praised the Communist Review’s achievements and efforts to well perform its role as an important organ of the CPVCC’s political theory over the years.

During the Doi Moi (Renewal) process and in the context of information explosion, the cause of national construction and development and how to step up the process of industrialisation and modernisation have left ideological workers with many difficulties and challenges. Therefore, the Communist Review needs to help promote theoretical and political consensus within the ranks of Party members and the whole nation by actively disseminating information about the 11th National Party Congress’s resolution in order to bring it to life soon.

In the face of globalization and international integration, the Communist Review should make every effort to become the vanguard in the fight against peaceful evolution and stand firm in the theoretical and ideological front of the Party, Mr Sang emphasised.

He called on all Communist Review editors and reporters to uphold the 80 year-old tradition of national construction and development and function well to be worthy of the Party’s trust.

Regarding the results obtained in 2010 and future tasks, Communist Review Editor-in-Chief, Professor Dr Ta Ngoc Tan said last year his staff tried their best to bring the Party’s guidelines and policies to life, with a view to stepping up industrialisation and modernisation efforts in the whole country.

In the near future, the Communist Review will continue to renew itself by increasing the quality of media products and improving its material and spiritual lives for its staff as positive contributions to successfully implementing the renewal process as well as the 11th National Party Congress’s resolution.
