The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) is keen to tighten its ties with the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM).

Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong was speaking at a reception for the KSCM delegation led by Chairman Vojtech Filip, who is also Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Czech Chamber of Deputies in Hanoi on April 20.

Mr Filip briefed Mr Trong on the situation in the Czech Republic and his party’s activities in recent times while affirming that he will do his best to promote the ties of traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Party leader Trong said the CPV always attaches great importance to strengthening its relationship with the KSCM, and hoped that between the two parties and legislative bodies will positively contribute to bolstering ties between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

Earlier, the KSCM delegation held talks with a CPV delegation headed by Hoang Binh Quan, member of CPV Central Committee and head of its Commission for External Relations.

The delegation also worked with a number of NA Committees and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
