The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation, led by Politburo member and Secretary of the CPV Central Committee To Huy Rua, paid an official visit to the UK.

On November 4, the delegation went to the Karl Marx commemorative library where they were introduced to many valuable documents, and visited a room where Lenin stayed from 1902 to 1903. They also laid wreath on Karl Marx's grave at Highgate Cemetery where many famous people have been laid to rest.

The delegation also laid wreath at the headquarters of New Zealand embassy, which has a memorial to where President Ho Chi Minh once worked in London.

President of the UK-Vietnam Friendship Association, Len Aldis, introduced the delegation to the history of the Carlton Hotel where Uncle Ho worked from 1913 to 1917.

During a visit to Vietnamese embassy, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh briefed Mr Rua on Vietnam-UK relations and the situation of overseas Vietnamese in the UK.

Mr Rua said the UK is a developed country from which Vietnam can learn much in its process of national modernization and industrialization.
