Delegates from 18 major political parties in Asia that are on the ICAPP Standing Committee reviewed activities since the 14^th ICAPP in December 2010, and discussed regional and international issues of concern.

Delegates called on both sides to end the recent conflict between Cambodia and Thailand and respect international laws and the United Nations Charter. They emphasized that the ICAPP is willing to play a key role in dealing with the situation in order to make the border stable.

The ICAPP also worked with the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) to organise an international seminar on natural disasters and environmental protection with the participation of 35 delegates.

The head of the Vietnamese delegation, Vuong Thua Phong, delivered a speech at the conference highlighting the Party and State’s policies and sharing Vietnam’s experiences in disaster prevention.

The conference issued the Kuala Lumpur Declaration, calling on Asian political parties to strengthen cooperation in preventing natural disasters.
