CPV delegation attends BRICS+ international inter-party forum

VOV.VN - A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Nguyen Minh Tam, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, attended the International Inter-Party Forum “BRICS and Partner-Countries” (BRICS+) 2024 hosted by the United Russia party in Vladivostok, Russia from June 16-19.

Tam gave speeches at the plenary session of the forum and a roundtable held on the forum's sidelines on the role of responsible political forces of Russia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member states in ensuring the financial and economic security of sovereign states, which received plaudits from the delegates.

On the sidelines of the event, the CPV delegation had bilateral meetings with delegations from a number of parties to review their cooperation and a number of international and regional issues of mutual concern.

The BRICS International Inter-Party Forum, which drew 150 delegates from 32 countries and political parties, concentrated on discussing the current world situation, especially non-separation security, the building of a more equitable, fair and multipolar world order, cooperation among countries in the fields of economics, trade and investment, and the role of BRICS, which groups Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates, in the new world order and the expansion of the group.

Most delegates underlined the importance of dialogue mechanisms in resolving disputes by peaceful measures, enhancing connectivity and economic integration, strengthening political trust, and promoting common efforts to deal with global challenges.

The forum also affirmed the role of developing countries, especially countries in the Southern Hemisphere, in resolving international and regional problems.

Representatives from parties shared their country's experience in responding to the financial crisis and restoring economic development, promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation between Russia and regional nations.
