The Communist Party of Vietnam on September 30 opened its meeting to review its inspection and supervision activities for the 2006-2010 term.

The meeting was attended by Party chief Nong Duc Manh, Politburo member Truong Tan Sang, and Director of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Van Chi.

Addressing the meeting, Mr Sang highlighted its significance in reviewing five years of implementing the 10th Party Congress’ resolution and Party rules on inspecting and supervising.

General Secretary Manh said that since the beginning of the term, the Politburo, the Party’s Secretariat, and party committees at various levels have planned and conducted thousands of inspections and supervisions in a systematic and rigorous way, creating consistency and unity within the Party.

Regarding this work in the future, Mr Manh urged party committees to realize the importance of inspection within the Party, continue to work on rules and stipulations in this area, and concretize the Central Committee’s resolutions.
