Addressing a conference held by the Supreme People's Court in Hanoi on January 25, President Triet emphasized that the courts at all levels must ensure proper justice and law enforcement. “It is also essential to increase the quality of investigation and inspection work to quickly discover and deal with law violations,” he added.

The State leader also expressed appreciation for the remarkable achievements of the court sector in 2009, saying the sector successfully implemented a Party Politburo resolution on judicial reform.

Dr Dang Quang Phuong, Deputy Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court, said in 2010, the judicial sector would properly resolve criminal cases and settle civil disputes, with a focus on conciliation and inspection work.

Over the past year, the sector dealt with more than 274 violations in a just and lawful manner. This year, it will continue to boost judicial reform in line with the resolutions of the Party and National Assembly.
