Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has signed a decision on establishing the Vietnam Coordination Committee for Development Cooperation in the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Triangle with the Minister of Planning and Investment as its chairman.

The coordination committee comprises four subcommittees for economy, external affairs and security, social affairs and environment, and local coordination.


The committee, under direction of the Prime Minister, will provide advice on policies and management to promote economic cooperation in the region, coordinate with the Cambodian and Lao parties in implementing plans on socio-economic development in the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Triangle.


The committee will submit to the PM regular six-month and annual reports on performance by Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities in coordination with Cambodia and Laos.
