This was stated by Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Nguyen Phuong Nga while answering reporters’ questions about Vietnam’s response to the Japanese PM’s re-election as DPJ leader. 

“Vietnam strongly believes that PM Naoto Kan and his party will continue making active contributions to developing the Vietnam-Japan relationship in line with the aspirations and interests of the two countries’ people, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world at large,” she said.
