“Coffee with Vietnam Ambassador” initiative spreads Vietnam’s story

VOV.VN - On February 12, Vietnamese Ambassador to Austria Vu Le Thai Hoang spoke with lecturers and international postgraduate students at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna on the outcomes of the 14th National Party Congress, Vietnam’s foreign and external economic policies, and relations between ASEAN and the European Union (EU), as well as Vietnam-EU ties.

On this occasion, the Embassy of Vietnam in Austria launched a dialogue series titled “Coffee with Vietnam Ambassador.”

The initiative serves, on the one hand, as a public diplomacy effort to proactively provide information and updates on Vietnam’s policy directions and its business, investment, and tourism environment in the new era; on the other, it promotes economic diplomacy by working with enterprises and localities to integrate promotion and trial introductions of Vietnam’s well-known coffee products into policy dialogues.

During the exchange, lecturers and students of the Austrian Diplomatic Academy from 10 countries and territories across Europe and Asia expressed interest in and support for the “Coffee with Vietnam Ambassador” initiative.

They described it as a constructive blend of politics, economics, and culture in diplomacy, helping convey policy messages in a clear and engaging manner while sharing Vietnam’s development story in the new era.

The initiative has also received support from relevant ministries and agencies, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the local business community, and Vietnamese coffee enterprises, which have pledged to work with the embassy to further expand the dialogue series in the period ahead.
