A visiting Chinese Communist Youth League delegation was received by Ha Thi Khiet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee Mass Mobilisation Commission, in Hanoi on December 21.
Khiet welcomed the visit by the Chinese youth delegation and its attendance at the Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Gathering.
She spoke highly of the exchanges between the two youth unions as well as their efforts to expand and deepen their relations.
The head of the delegation, Lu Hao, said the Chinese Communist Youth League always attaches importance to the fine traditional friendship between the two Parties, States and peoples, considering it a treasure of the two nations and young generations.
He also expressed the determination of the two youth unions to work together to take over the tradition of generations of their Party leaders and strengthen the Vietnam-China relationship.
Earlier, the Chinese youth delegation attended the opening ceremony of the 12th Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Gathering which opened in Ha Long city, in northern Quang Ninh province.
The delegation is scheduled to visit President Ho Chi Minh’s homeland in the central province of Nghe An where the closing ceremony of the gathering will be held.
