Mrs Doan highlighted the significance of Mr Feng’s visit amid various activities celebrating 2010 as Vietnam-China Friendship Year and expressed her confidence that the visit will strengthen the ties of friendship between Vietnam and China and between Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City, which are sister cities.

The Vice President assured Mr Feng that Vietnam values its relations with China and thanked the Chinese Party and people for aiding Vietnam during its long struggle for national independence.

Mr Feng expressed his admiration for Vietnam’s impressive growth and said the two countries could learn a lot from each other.
