Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption convenes 20th meeting

VOV.VN - The Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption opened its 20th meeting on August 5 under the chair of Party General Secretary and Chairman of the committee Nguyen Phu Trong.

During the meeting, the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption will scrutinize a draft report on the implementation of its working programme in the first half of this year, and tasks for the second half.
The committee will also report the outcomes of the settlement of cases under its supervision, and other documents relating to its operations.

The meeting is of great significance as it is the first gathering of the committee in the 13th tenure of the Party Central Committee, and takes place amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in many localities nationwide.

In the joint efforts to combat the pandemic and maintain socio-economic development, greater attention has been paid to the fight against corruption in line with instructions of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who is also head of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption.

The Party chief has called for higher political determination, and stronger, more drastic and effective actions against corruption, emphasizing that the work must be done resolutely, persistently and continuously at all sectors and agencies.
