• Cambodia, Vietnam agree to further ties

During his stay, the King met with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

At the meetings, both sides affirmed their Party and State’s consistent policy of fostering the fine neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability with each other.

King Norodom Sihamoni expressed his deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Party, State, Government and people for their support to the Cambodian people in the past struggle for national independence and the present national construction and development.

He affirmed that he will spare no effort to develop the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

They also agreed to strengthen the relationship for the interests of the two peoples as well as for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
