A Vietnamese government inspection delegation, headed by Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh, is visiting the Kingdom of Cambodia from February 13-16 at the invitation of Cambodia’s permanent deputy prime minister Men Sam On.

At a working session on February 13, the Vietnamese and Cambodian inspectors signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two countries’ inspection sectors.

The two sides exchanged experience in inspection work to deal with complaints about corruption and discussed measures to step up bilateral cooperation.

Under the MoU, Vietnam will send its experts to Cambodia to help train human resources in the field.

On the occasion, Cambodian deputy PM Men Sam On presented the Royal Cambodian Government’s Friendship Orders to Inspector General Huynh Phong Tranh and Vietnam’s inspection professional training school.

From 2006-2011, the Vietnamese inspection sector held six training courses for Cambodian inspectors.
