Golovchenko, who is also the chairman of the Belarus sub-committee for military technology cooperation of the Vietnam-Belarus Inter-government Commission, is in Hanoi for the 12^th meeting between the two sub-committees.

General Thanh welcomed Golovchenko’s working visit to Hanoi which he said was an opportunity for the two sub-committees to review the result of their cooperation programmes in various areas.

He noted that Vietnam and Belarus have strengthened cooperation in national defence, especially the exchange of visits and military technology cooperation.

The General expressed hope that cooperative relations between the two armies will be further developed, contributing to the common development of the Vietnam-Belarus ties.

Golovchenko briefed his host on the result of the 12^th meeting between the Belarus and Vietnamese sub-committees and believed that the agreements reached at the meeting will be realised. 

Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defence Lieut. Gen. Truong Trung Khanh, who is the head of the Vietnamese sub-committee, and Golovchenko signed the minutes of the meeting in Hanoi.
