Mr Trong urged them to quickly overcome the consequences of Typhoon Durian by focusing on the restoration of areas under rubber, pepper and cashew cultivation. He also urged them to accelerate administrative reform and create a better environment for investors. 

During the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Minh Sanh briefed Mr Trong on Ba Ria - Vung Tau's efforts to fulfil its plan targets for 2006 as well as its socio-economic development tasks for 2007.
