Australian PM Scott Morrison to visit Vietnam

VOV.VN - Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife will make an official visit to Vietnam from August 22-24 at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1973, the relationship between Vietnam and Australia has grown steadily. Two-way trade reached US$7.7 billion in 2018, a year-on-year rise of 19.3 per cent.

At present, Australia ranks 19th among 128 foreign investors in Vietnam with total investment of over US$1.84 billion while the Southeast Asian nation has 47 projects throughout Australia.
