Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung has called on ASEAN entrepreneurs to establish closer links to form large-scale groups and ASEAN trademarks in the world market.

While receiving a delegation of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ABAC) in Hanoi on March 29, Mr Hung praised the ABAC's efforts in promoting regional economic development and its initiative on the awards for effective enterprises, which made great contributions to the ASEAN’s common economy.

He said that the ABAC should play a more active role in helping ASEAN governments solve problems in the development of enterprises in particular and economies in general. Vietnam was committed to respecting ABAC activities and recognizing its contributions, he added.

ABAC Chairman Robert Yap expressed his impression at Vietnam's economic achievements in the recent past. He said the current 23rd ABAC meeting in Vietnam was an opportunity for regional enterprises to exchange and enhance economic-commercial cooperation, particularly in tightening the linkage among ASEAN enterprises to create the power of ASEAN goods in the world market.
