Many daily and e-newspapers in Argentina on April 15 applauded Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s official visit to the South American country from April 15-17. 
In an article entitled “Hello Vietnam”, Atilio Boron of the leading Argentine daily Pagina 12 provided a review of Vietnam’s outstanding achievements during the past struggle for national independence as well as in the present process national development. 

Besides its economic successes, Vietnam is also a model of poverty reduction, health and education, said Boron, a prestigious journalist, adding that PM Dung’s visit will open up opportunities for the two countries to strengthen cooperation. 

Telam, the national news agency of Argentina, highlighted the importance of the first visit by a Vietnamese PM to Argentina and quoted Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana as saying that PM Dung’s visit has opened up new areas of cooperation. 

The news agency of the Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR) said the visit of great significance to the two-way rapidly-increasing two-way trade while the Eleve e-newspaper noted that the visit takes place on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Argentina’s Independence Day and the 1,000th founding anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi. 

Many local dailies in Argentina and news agencies in Latin America reviewed the milestones in the relationship between the two countries as well as Vietnam’s outstanding economic achievements over the past years on the occasion of the Vietnamese PM’s visit.
