A number of newly-appointed foreign ambassadors presented their credentials to President Nguyen Minh Triet on August 19 at the Presidential Palace.

The ambassadors included Ranjit Rae (India), Shovkoplias Oleksiy (Ukraine), Fernando Urrutia (Chile), Francois Xavier Ngarambe (Rwanda), and Ruben Ignacio Zamora Rivas (El Salvador).

President Triet confirmed Vietnam’s foreign policy of strengthening and expanding its ties of friendship and cooperation with these countries.

Mr Triet said that Vietnam will do its best to help the new ambassadors fulfil their mission.

The ambassadors expressed their joy working in Vietnam and their admiration for Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements, especially its success with the Millennium Development Goals. They all congratulated the Vietnamese people on the 65th anniversary of the August Revolution.
