Speaking on the occasion, South African Ambassador to Vietnam Ratubatsi Super Moi-loi said the great event provides opportunities for African countries to introduce their development, land and people.

He highlighted the implementation of a number of projects to mark the special event, which would help boost the friendship and solidarity between the people of Vietnam and Africa.

Themed “Construction and preservation of peace through sports,” this year’s African Day aims to send a message of friendship and solidarity to all people around the world, the diplomat said.

He thanked the Vietnam’s support for and cooperation with African countries while expressing his hope that the two sides’ bilateral relations would further grow in the future.
