Chairwoman Nurberdyeva spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements in national construction as well as its active role in solving international and regional issues.

The chairwoman also affirmed that Turkmenistan attaches importance to strengthening the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam.

Ambassador Son pledged to do his utmost during his term of office in order to further promote bilateral relations, especially in the fields of economics and trade.

On this occasion, the ambassador met with leaders of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of the host country.

Two-way trade between Vietnam and Turkmenistan remains modest, just at US$19 million a year.
