Nguyen Quang Khai, Vietnamese ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), recently visited the bonded warehouse of GAEP International in Dubai to explore its operations.
This is one of the biggest bonded warehouses in Dubai equipped with modern freezing systems that can preserve food for a long time. All imports and re-exports to and from the house are exempt from taxes, except for customs fees of 5 percent.

Ambassador Khai expressed Vietnam’s desire to share experience in building such warehouses in the country with the group, saying these warehouses will help farmers and producers preserve their products after harvests to reduce economic losses.
Mahendra Patel, president of the group, said through GAEP International, Vietnamese businesses can export rice, sugar, tea, coffee, meat, fish, and canned products to the UAE and the whole region.
