On hand for the celebration were former Party leader Le Kha Phieu, Politburo member and member of the Party Central Committee‘s Secretariat Truong Tan Sang, National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong, State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Huynh Dam, plus other national and local leaders.

Mr Sang reviewed Party leader, Linh’s revolutionary activities, noting that in any role, Mr Linh devoted himself fully to the Party and the people and always fulfilled his assigned tasks.

He praised Mr Linh’s great contributions to cause of national liberation, the re-building of HCM City after liberation day and the Doi Moi (Renewal) process.

In his 83 years, 62 years as a Party member, Nguyen Van Linh set a shining example as a loyal communist and a steadfast leader for other Party members and cadres.
