The Prime Minister has received 23 questions from National Assembly (NA) deputies while the largest number of questions for a sitting minister is 28 and the lowest number of questions for another minister is one.

Speaking at the inquiry session in Hanoi on June 11, NA Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong said that by the afternoon of June 10, the NA had received 235 questions from 118 NA deputies representing 46 NA delegations sent to the Prime Minister, 20 ministers and the heads of several agencies. However, to save time and increase the effectiveness of the Q&A session, the NA will only focus on issues on socio-economic development in recent years that have drawn great concerns from voters, he added.

During the inquiry session, NA delegates raised questions with the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Minister of Industry and Trade, the Minister of Education and Training, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and the Minister of Planning and Investment.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung also delivered a speech to clarify some of the Government’s common issues, and said he would answer any questions from NA deputies.

The Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, was the first to answer questions from NA deputies.
