14th National Party Congress receives 559 congratulatory messages
VOV.VN - As of January 19, the 14th National Party Congress had received a total of 559 congratulatory messages from 109 political parties, six international and regional organizations, 16 individuals, 122 people’s organizations, and 306 associations of overseas Vietnamese.
At the opening session of the 14th National Party Congress, Bui Thi Quynh Van, a member of the Congress Secretariat, read out a notice on congratulatory messages sent by political parties, organizations and international friends to the congress.
Van said the 14th National Party Congress is taking place at a moment of historical significance, marking 40 years of the renewal process and the beginning of a new development era for Vietnam.
“Over the past 40 years of renewal, the Party has continuously expanded, consolidated and deepened its relations with communist and workers’ parties, left-wing parties, ruling parties and other political parties around the world,” she said.
Van added that in the days leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, political parties, organizations and international friends had continuously sent letters and messages of congratulations. As of January 19, the congress had received 559 congratulatory messages from 109 political parties, six international and regional organizations, 16 individuals, 122 people’s organizations and 306 overseas Vietnamese associations. These messages, she said, demonstrates Vietnam’s cooperative and friendly relations with its international partners.
The Congress Secretariat later reported five congratulatory messages from ruling communist parties and ruling parties from neighboring countries and traditional friends, including the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the Communist Party of China, the Cambodian People’s Party, the Communist Party of Cuba and the Workers’ Party of Korea.
In addition, the congress received 31 congratulatory messages from countries in Asia and Oceania, 26 from European countries, as well as messages from overseas individuals, political organizations, people’s organizations and localities.
