The Prime Minister has ordered a temporary halt to the purchase of new vehicles by ministries, Government agencies, State-run companies, and authorities of provinces and centrally run cities since June.

The action is part of the Government's action plan to push up the drive to practise thrift and combat wastefulness in the country.

The Prime Minister requested affected agencies and their leaders to strictly follow this instruction.
