The way it was: Today in history

VOV.VN- These images are courtesy of the Hanoi Museum and are a preview of an ongoing exhibition of black-and-white photos of Hoan Kiem Lake (Sword Lake) as it was 100 years ago.

Although the lake has kept much of its charm over the years, in the early 20th century, it had a very different atmosphere and was a more peaceful and tranquil place than it is today.
