Sapa covered in a blanket of snow
(VOV) - Much of Sapa has been covered in snow this week with some localities like Tram Ton and O Qui Ho experiencing up to 20cm of the white stuff.
Temperatures on the main 4D highway between Sapa and Lai Chau have dropped to two degree Celsius and a further zero degree Celsius on Xe mountain.
Snow cover on the roads is causing widespread transport difficulties and the Traffic police of Lao Cai province have had to mobilise forces to ensure passenger safety.
