Long traditional house of Ma people in Lam Dong province

In Loc Bac commune, Bao Lam district in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong, survives the only remaining long traditional house of the Ma ethnic group.

The house has a wooden frame and bamboo-tiled floor under a thatched roof.
Inside the traditional house.
A holy space inside the house called ‘Nao’, which is used to store valuable gongs and jars.
'Dor’ – the space for drying corn and rice.
Preparing a jar of ‘Can’ wine (wine drunk out of a jar via wooden bamboo pipes) to welcome guests to the house.
Daily activities of the Ma people often take place around the house.
