Huge landslide blocks highway 4D in Lai Chau
(VOV) -A massive landslide in Son Binh commune, Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province rained tonnes of rock and soil on parts of National Highway 4D on September 21, the Lai Chau provincial authority reports.
The slides piled up an estimated 10,000 cubic metres of dirt, stones and debris blocking the roadway coming in the aftermath of prolonged rains following Typhoon Kalmaegi.
No casualties or serious injuries have been reported.
