(VOV) - Nearly 200,000 Thai ethnic people in the north-western province of Dien Bien celebrate their lunar New Year (Tet) festival from the 25th day of the 12th lunar month to the 10th day of the following month.
They attend parties, perform dances, and play folk games such as ném còn (throwing a sacre ball through the ring), đẩy gậy (stick pushing), or bắt vịt (catching ducks).
Young people travel from one village to another, enjoying festive celebrations as a way to relax after a hard working year and make friends.
