Gorgeous lotus blooms of Hanoi’s West Lake
(VOV) - Residents of West Lake often say the thicker and deeper the mud - the more beautiful the lotus blooms.
Symbolically, the flower represents strength in times of darkness because although it lives in murky water, it grows towards the sunlight and emerges as one of nature’s most glorious flowers.
Every mid-May, blossoming lotus flowers engulf the senses of residents of West Lake with their sheer elegance and distinctively gentle aroma.
