Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh has asked Thai Nguyen province to make steadier and faster progress in its development the next five years.

At a recent meeting with voters in the northern mountain, the Party leader emphasized the need to transform the economic structure in industry, agriculture, tourism and service.

Thai Nguyen should make the development of hi-tech products their top priority in the national market, said Mr.Manh.

He asked the local voters to develop human resources for the benefit of the province’s short-term and long- term development.

The voters asked the Government to ban the export of raw ore to stimulate domestic production. They voiced concerns over the shortcomings in the Land Law and asked the Government to amend it to help solve land conflicts.

Concerns over low wages for health workers, especially those working in the province’s communes, were also raised at the meeting.
