Vietnamese and Norwegian sculptors have presented 12 joint works to the central city of Da Nang as part of a Norwegian project to help train highly skilled workers for the city.
All of their works, made of white stone, praise the friendship between the two peoples, and will be displayed in the park on the Han River's eastern bank.
Many sculptors have been trained under the project, which began in 2002, and a stone sculpture centre has been built on an area of 5,000 sq.m in the 400-year traditional stone sculpture Ngu Hanh Son village. Equipped with many modern processing facilities, the centre is an ideal creative place for sculptors.
