Party General Secretary and Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Nguyen Phu Trong on June 1 signed a resolution relating to the election results and the official lists of 500 deputies to the 13th NA and 303,656 deputies to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term.

According to the Election Councils, voter turnout on May 22 was 99.52 percent.
The election outcomes demonstrated the people’s patriotic tradition and strong beliefs in the leadership of the Party and State.
This was a victory of the great national unity bloc and a prerequisite for the establishment of a law-governed socialist state in the new tenure.
